The lira exchange rates for today are not different from the usual trend, stagnation is all over the place in Lebanon while the Cash Dollar reserves at the BDL (Banque du Liban, Lebanese central Bank) are shrinking. Reports mention only 1.8 billion dollars are left and subsidies are being rationed.

Banks Lira’s rate is at 3850 LBP with many conditions.
Today, the Lira rate seems to have jumped 50 to 75 points approximately at the time of publishing this post, 10:30 AM Beirut time.

Government Prime minister election talks are to start next Thursday, October 15, 2020. If the formation went through, a decrease in the USD to LBP is expected.
