Yesterday was a very tough day for the Lebanese Lira. The black market applications were on the loose, reporting significant increases in the USD price.
The applications are a significant part of the currency’s systematic devaluation.
It is about time that they are exposed, put to trial, or at least shut down for the app stores.
It is unacceptable that they send notifications about price updates without any data or proof to justify it and, even worse, without informing us of their sources.

- The black market applications madness is ongoing. At 10:30 AM, Beirut time, the apps reported a sudden USD price increase of 300 points. The new rate is Buy 1 USD = 14,375 LBP.
- At 11:20 AM, the USD price in Lebanon increased by 125 points. Where is this going? At this rate of increase, the sky is the limit for the Lira!
- From 12:00 noon till 16:30 PM, the notifications about price updates decreased in number and volatility.
- Lira price decrease by 50 points at 16:50 PM.
- Sudden illogical and irrational increase of the USD to LBP by 125 points at 18:10 PM. The applications should be shut down as soon as possible!
